History of castle
Castle Ratboř

New castle in Ratboř was built by Jan Kotěra in years 1911 – 1913 for Mandelík´s family – owners of a sugar factory in Ratboř.
First sketch of a castle is indicating right spirit of empire but after an adaptation is growing a schematic classicism element.

In a monumental frontage are situated Štursa´s statues which are representing Spirit and Staff. In a form of metal railing is maybe approving Kotěra´s carefull interest in cubism.
